Granos, harinas y complementos, informó el CIEN-ADEX

Perú puede ser un proveedor de granos, harinas y complementos para la industria de panes artesanales en el mundo y de esa forma contribuir con el objetivo 2 ‘hambre cero’ de la Agenda 2030 sobre el Desarrollo Sostenible de las Naciones Unidas, señaló el jefe de Estudios Económicos e Inteligencia Comercial del CIEN-ADEX, Gabriel Arrieta Padilla.
Fue durante su ponencia ‘Superfoods del Perú: tendencias de exportaciones nutritivas al mundo’ en la ‘II Cumbre PANYS’, evento que brindó propuestas de políticas públicas saludables para la promoción del consumo del pan artesanal.
Arrieta, recordó que la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO) calcula que hacia el 2030 más de 840 millones de personas en el mundo padecerán de hambruna, 22% más en comparación a la cifra del 2020 (690 millones).
“Nuestro país puede ayudar a garantizar la seguridad alimentaria de las próximas décadas. En ese sentido, Perú como nación megadiversa, multiclimática (posee 28 de los 32 climas del planeta), y multicultural juega un rol sumamente importante en el logro de este desafío”, dijo.
Resaltó que esos factores brindan grandes posibilidades de producir más e incrementar las exportaciones. “Tenemos una gran oportunidad de contribuir con una mayor producción y exportación de productos nutritivos y en la reducción de los riesgos asociados a la inseguridad alimentaria”, añadió.
Gran demanda
En esa línea, Arrieta destacó el gran potencial exportador de granos como la quinua, chía, castaña y kiwicha; harinas de legumbres, maca, tarwi, cañihua, camote, plátano, cacao y maíz morado; y complementos como arándanos, aceituna, lúcuma, aguaymanto y chirimoya pues la industria panificadora global requiere esos insumos para elaborar panes y otros.
Indicó que en la actualidad el cacao en polvo y la harina de maca son los principales productos exportados en la categoría de harinas, sus envíos en el 2022 crecieron 36.5% y 8.9%, respectivamente.
En ese sentido, recomendó fomentar el uso de los superfoods, sumar a la Academia con el propósito de generar mayor conocimiento sobre esos productos, avanzar con el cumplimiento de los protocolos sanitarios solicitados en otros países y continuar con la firma de más acuerdos comerciales, además de seguir promoviendo la alianza público-privada.
Retos
El jefe de Estudios Económicos e Inteligencia Comercial del CIEN-ADEX, mencionó el gran desafío de los integrantes de esa cadena de incrementar el nivel de productividad y competitividad a fin de que puedan integrar de forma óptima a las diversas cadenas de valor existentes en el mundo.
Pidió intensificar la promoción comercial como estrategia de difusión de los beneficios de nuestros productos, así como la participación en ferias internacionales para mostrar la bondad del pan nacional y el uso de nuestros granos andinos en su producción.
Respecto a la industria panificadora nacional, resaltó la capacidad de los panaderos peruanos, su innovación y creatividad al usar esos insumos y darles valor agregado. “Están en la capacidad de elaborar un pan con los mismos nutrientes que 100 gramos de carne”, opinó.
Finalmente, calificó de importante desarrollar políticas públicas que combatan la inseguridad alimentaria y sus efectos negativos en la calidad de la dieta de los peruanos, pues tienen un menor consumo en carnes, lácteos, frutas y hortalizas.
